Unfinished business!

Ok for those who know me (which I assume is all of you)...you know how I am about crafting. I like crafts. I think they can be really fun and cute. I just have a problem with finishing them! I tend to have a problem. I go to super saturdays thinking that craft looks easy enough that even I can do it. Then realize at the end of 3+ hours that I didn't get very far. (I thought super saturday was for visiting.) So the next super saturday I repeat the same process.

Well, I'm happy to report that over the past few years I have recognized that personality trait(flaw) and no longer sign up for projects. I just take my unfinished ones to finish...or let others finish them for me. I even have stooped to the level of having my friend scrapbook for me. She did an amazing job might I add. Because of her my three oldest children actually have pictures in a book to look at.

Why am I telling this story. Well, back about 4+ years ago I saw a cool clock at a friends house. I asked her to make me one but no, she just invited to me make one with her! (Thanks Kirsten) I painted it, cracked it, even spent hours drawing the roman numeral on with a stensil. Wiser women use this cool stuff called Vinyl!!! I had it done...mostly. I just needed to attach the hands by drilling a hole. I even had the hands! Even though I didn't have the hands on I still hung it on my wall. As you can imagine over the years it has become quite the topic of conversation.

OK, so the reason for this post...I finished my clock last week. My version of Tim the Toolman had his drill out to fix something and I took about 5 minutes and finished my clock. Pretty anticlimatic huh? Here's the finished product.

What have I learned through all this...just be friends with Crafty Afty's and they will take care of you! Also, vinyl is an easy way to do crafts!

I don't know, Weaver.... I kind-of liked it with the hands off. I figured you were making a metaphor about life-- or at least a statement about your concept of time. I assumed it had something to do with the fact that you are always late!

Great! Will you finish my projects at your next Sutper Saturday? What's sad is some of them I don't even know now what they were suppose to be! Too sad! Love the clock!

hahaha I can not stop laughing! I miss the no handed clock, I remember such focus on it at times figuring if all the writing was straight or when the hole would appear. So can I ask -does of have a battery in it yet? J/k so it was either Stacy or Cathy who did your scrapbooks huh? Your good!I need to start letting people do my projects- maybe I will keep the rest of my fingers! Hahaha
