Miracles have yet to Cease!!

Yes, I know, it is a miracle. Once you all pull yourselves up off the floor and can finish reading I will tell you what we have been up to lately. (Cami and Kristine I'm glad you are working out so your hearts will be able to handle the shock!)

Since it has been so long I will have to go back into the old memory bank and pull out some of the exciting things we've done.

We moved!!! Yep don't be surprised...it's only been almost 2 years. We have been enjoying our time in our new environment. I think we have all adjusted. The Don (spanish for man of the house) loves his job and gets to learn, learn and learn. He loves being able to take different training courses that teaches him more and more. I call it job security. Though some of the classes require him to travel. One meeting will take him to Vienna. Yes, he's got it rough.

The eldest child will be 16 next week. She has really enjoyed her new school and friends. She plays high school soccer and is doing track as well. She stays busy with band and various other activites. Not too excited about the up coming dating possibilities but that is still a few years off! She did begin driving and has been doing much better. She passed her permit test on the first try. I hear that's pretty impressive.

The Twerp is enjoying his new surroundings. He made the middle school boys softball team last fall and the soccer team this spring. He is also playing baseball this spring. He keeps busy with scouts as well.

This younger two enjoy school and playing. They played soccer in the fall and baseball this spring. They seem to like school and have made new friends.

The mom entered back into the work force this last year and is working at a preschool two days a week. It has been a fun job and still allows for her full time job our house keeper, taxi driver, and referee and short order cook. Some jobs she does better than others.

We have had a fun time being out in the east. We have taken a few trips into the big city of our nations capitol. We had fun last July 4th when we watched the fireworks over the Washington Monument. We experienced an earthquake and hurricane all in one week...and survived! Needless to say we keep it exciting.

There you have it. A quick summary of our last 3 years! In 3 more years check back and see what else has happened. Ok maybe I can do better than 3 years. We'll see.

It's about time!

Ok, it's been awhile. But I had another birthday and another cake to show off. What better reason to post?

We have a 7 year old again. We had a low key birthday because of baseball but we did have fun. Happy number 7!

Happy Birthday!

Today was my baby's 5th birthday. Where does time go? We had a fun day and he was so patient waiting to open his presents. He had wanted an "Austin" cake from Backyardigans all year. Last year we did Pablo, the year before it was Tyrone. I really didn't know what to do for Austin so I was inspired with Indiana Jones. He loved it. I did too. I truly out did myself. Almost Martha Stewart-esque. I really had fun with it.

The Gimp

I have had a crazy couple weeks. On the 19th I had a freak tripping accident (I tripped on snow boots that were decorating my garage)and ended up on crutches and a boot for 2 weeks. I was liberated this week and got to drop the crutches but still have the boot for 2-4 more weeks. I'm posting some awesome pictures so you can all feel bad for me!! I know it's kind of gross but I couldn't resist. The diagnosis was an avulsion fracture on one of the bones in my foot.

Catching Up

Alright, I've been a slacker long enough. There's been a lot going on and I have these perfect blogs worked up in my mind. I just have a problem getting them from my physical hard drive to the blog. Wouldn't it be nice if we could just hook a USB cord up to our brains and download to our computers. All the scrapbook pages I've created would just download already made. My Christmas cards would be made and sent out already...Etc. It would sure be nice. Until I can find a programer to help me with that I'll have to settle for just being a slacker.

Well, here are some of the fun things we've been up to!

For Halloween we went with the Mario Family theme. We had Princess Peach (yes that is the dress her grandma made for her when she was 3...it was big then...not so big at 12), one of the brown blog guys that kill you, Mario and Luigi. They were all pretty cute.

We also went to the movies. We went to go see HSM 3 as a family. It was sooooo awesome!! My children humored me. They weren't too embarrassed when I yelled, "I love Troy". What good sports they are!

We spent some time bowling...

Then we also went to the woods and cut down our Christmas tree...

Time out for Holli

I was able to get away for a few days. The premise was so I could go to my brother's graduation in Rhode Island. I did go to that. It was awesome. Congratulation Barrett. I also spent a few days in NYC and the surrounding areas as well. It was a fun trip! To make it more interesting I had a brush with fame! Does anyone know who these two guys are?
